What's up with the organic facial skin care craze?

Im hearin about all these things being good for you but some of this stuff like putting oil on ur face is weird to me! Has anyone really truly seen a diffrence in their aging skin? Just curious! What's up with the organic facial skin care craze?
I don't have aging skin, but my clients do and simple organic serum's like rose hip seed oil (these oils aren't like vegetable or olive) and grape seed oil have made a huge difference. The organic craze comes from the issues people have with paraben's and other filler products and stabilizers that are put into products to extend shelf life's and make cream's more emollient. Google paraben's and see what you find. These chemicals have been accused of being carcinogen's, and are thought to have caused some cases of brest cancer. They are continually used because they are low cost and necessary in most products. I personally think they do no good for your skin, and try to avoid them. If you want to try a Organic product that will help your aging skin, that isn't a oil try a Vitamin A or C serum. I don't use everything organic, but have found that the products I do, like my eye cream, moisturizer and face wash have been more effective than the products I have used before, many of which were high quality or high cost. What's up with the organic facial skin care craze?
there is not such thing as certified organic cosmetics in the USA because cosmetics are regulated by the FDA and organic certification is regulated by the USDA

http://www.organicconsumers.org for a lot more information about the state of organic body care and which companies are legit and which are selling high priced snake oil
